Envision a sanctuary where the tranquility of the Quran permeates every corner, nurturing young hearts amidst the distractions of our time. Join us on 30th June 2024 on a journey of generosity and legacy-building – a journey you can actively partake in consisting of a family event, bouncy castles, activities and 2 bike rides.

Established in 1976 in the vibrant Werneth area of Oldham, Werneth Jamia Masjid emerged as a sanctuary for communal worship and education. Initially conceived to instill the fundamentals of deen in our youth and offer vital youth services during school breaks, the Masjid quickly became a beacon of spiritual nourishment.

As the years unfolded, it became evident that our current facilities were inadequate to meet the burgeoning needs of our community. With worshippers often compelled to pray in makeshift spaces during Jumu’ah and Eid, and our madrassah bursting at the seams with over 150 eager learners, the decision was made to acquire adjacent land for expansion. This expansion project aims to accommodate the growing congregation for Jumu’ah, taraweeh, and Eid prayers, while providing an enhanced learning environment for our madrassah students.

Now is the time to invest in our future generation – to equip them with the wisdom of the Quran, empowering them to navigate their identity as confident British Muslims. With your support, we embark on the journey to realize our vision of a state-of-the-art £4.2 million Masjid, by the will of Allah.

Join us in our charitable endeavor by participating in a cycling campaign, where enthusiasts can choose between a 15-mile or up to 50-mile route (depending on ability) to raise funds for the construction of Werneth Jamia Masjid in Oldham. Registration is open via the form below, with a £20 registration fee, all proceeds directly contributing to our construction project. Together, let’s build a brighter future for generations to come.
